Pigeon Cove Ledges, Rockport

On December 1, 2011, following a multi-year effort, and thanks in large part to the Town of Rockport's investment through the Community Preservation Fund and the Rockport Housing Partnership, Harborlight Community Partners acquired Pigeon Cove Ledges,  13 Curtis Street, Rockport.

This  effort by Harborlight Community Partners,  protected and improved the current 30 one-bedroom apartments, four of which are handicapped accessible, for fixed income elders.   Pigeon Cove Ledges is 22% of all the affordable housing in Rockport so it was critical to make sure it did not convert to market rate.

As the new owner and property manager, the organization completed  a substantial rehabilitation of the 22 year old building during the spring of 2012, which  included various safety and accessibility updates,  installation of  an elevator and a sprinkler system.
