Harborlight Community Partners, hosted their annual event at the Hawthorne Hotel on Friday, November 4th, 2011. The event, A Celebration of Community Partnerships, is held each year to honor a variety of local municipalities, organizations and individuals for their support of recent affordable housing projects.
The North Shore is a community of good people working together to make our region a great place to make a home. Together we are working hard so that fixed income elders, those with disabilities, and working families are able to make a home here too. HCP Executive Director, Andrew DeFranza
Harborlight Community Partners honorees for 2011 included:
The City of Gloucester was honored for their ongoing efforts to provide affordable family rental housing, assisted living, and first-time homebuyer access for elders, working families and those with disabilities. Mayor Carolyn Kirk accepted the award.
YMCA of the North Shore was honored for their efforts to create housing opportunity for those in need on the North Shore and beyond: Beverly, Gloucester, Ipswich and Haverhill. Jack Meany, CEO of the YMCA accepted the award.
Outgoing Harborlight Community Partners Board President, and Executive Director of North Shore Elder Services, Paul Lanzikos was honored for his many years of faithful leadership and service to HCP and the broader elder services community.
